You’re breakin my heart…

Gosh, I just love the joy that radiates from Mom’s face as she thinks about her family. It’s probably one of my favorite things to witness- a family that is so in love. Like. SOOO in love.

No heartbreak here. Just joy from Jeff, Antoinette and Cecilia.

I don’t know what it’s like to welcome a baby I didn’t birth into my home. I don’t know the kind of courage it takes to love someone as my own.

But I am blessed to know people who do and who are that courageous. And I am thankful for their friendship and the unconditional love they allow me to witness.

Baby Reina, Although you sleep a lot, it is such a joy to watch as you grow. Your smile is so wonderful.

This life is such a blessing, friends.

Two boys followed by this sweetie.

Sawyer. I just love her name! Such a strong name. I’m a sucker for strong girl names.

Anyways, Sawyer lives just down the street, so it was a total treat to get to know her just a few days after she was born. I so enjoy her parents. They are seriously cool. They are the kind of neighbors that leave a case of beer on your back steps, just cause.

I’ll stop. You’re here for a snuggly baby photos, anyways. Indianapolis Newborn Photographer Carissa Hawkinson’t belabor the point…adorable baby photos!!

Hey there Maxwell! Welcome!

I really hate to make these blog post about me but honestly, I just cannot believe how incredibly blessed I am to be living out my dreams and working with the sweetest families!

Sara, Kyle and baby Maxwell were an absolute dream to work with!

With such a loving couple, baby Maxwell hit the parent jackpot! These two are the sweetest! I loved spending time with them prior to baby M’s arrival.

And then there’s Max. Such a chill little guy! It was such a pleasure to spend time in his company.

Modern Indianapolis Newborn Photography, coming up! One of the things I love best about Indianapolis is how easily it can be to connect with like minded, friendly people.

Like Katy, Adam and baby Parker.

We share a common love for our neighborhood, the color Revere Pewter and Hubbard & Cravens. Aside from all that, we share mutual friends.

I love that Indianapolis allows for a big town, small town feeling. I love that being a photographer here means I get to know some of the best people.

Katy is one of the first to take advantage of the free maternity session when you book a newborn session and I could not LOVE her maternity photos more!! So beautiful!!

Now scroll on down and check out this little dude!! He’s given me probably my most favorite awake shot ever- if you’re following me on social media, you’ve seen it a few times. I’m obsessed with his little face!

If you’d like to take advantage of maternity photos before you little one comes, hit me up. I’ve got some openings for summer and fall 2017 babies.

If only it was my place to tell you the entire story of this amazing family.

What I can tell you, is that this little girl is the rainbow her Mama prayed for. She’s the chance to love again.

Meet Graysn.

Man am I thankful for the faith this family has. They never gave up or gave in. They worked through the pain and on the other side is this beautiful little rainbow.

I can’t wait to see Graysn grown!

This beautiful little miracle baby. And her amazing parents. And her sweet and protective sister. And her thoughtful and loving brother. Ah! What is not to love about newborn photography when you’ve got this family as subjects.

It was such a pleasure to spend so much time with them over the last month or so.

This session was the one where I felt like everything I’ve learned over the last year just clicked and it went so smoothly and I was seriously pleased with so many photos straight out of camera.

Here’s to more sessions like that!

Special thanks to Posh Petals for making that gorgeous flower crown!

As a parent, I’ve learned that even the best made plans don’t go as planned and learning to be flexible is necessary.

This was the case with Baby Ophelia. She had her own plans. So, we rolled with it and switched what was supposed to be me photographing her birth to a Fresh 48 session. It’s all good. Her first few hours are documented and she’s safe and healthy and that is all that matters.

Congratulations Karazim’s!

This is Eleanor. Isn’t she just adorable.

I’ve never really considered owning a dog until meeting her and her fabulous people, Natalie & Dave. They love her and each other and boy did I feel it.

This was one of those sessions where I said awkward things, like: “Can you guys come home with me?” How weird. But their love for each other was so palatable that I just didn’t want them to leave. Don’t worry, I didn’t keep them.

I’m really thankful to have met them, though. As an artist, they gave me a glimpse of what it’s like to photograph love and let me just say-

I. Am. Hooked.
